Rocky Mountain Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Adventure

Sgt Avery's Army

Cycling2Cure Scleroderma

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for supporting Sgt. Avery’s Army. Due to COVID 19, our annual Stepping Out event has gone virtual. For my Rocky Mountain Adventure, I am going to be Cycling2Cure Scleroderma by virtually riding the Mount Evans Hill Climb which is 7,000’ (2,100 m) of climbing from an elevation of 7,500’ all the way up to 14,100 feet!

Will you click on “Join My Team” to ENLIST, raise funds, and help me ride 2,100 miles? Between April 18th and June 29th, ride your bike outdoors and/or indoors and track your miles. You can use apps such as Strava, Zwift, or Map My Ride or just your bike computer. Enlist others to join the team. Take photos or videos and post them to social media #ScleroAdventure #Cycling2CureSclero

Email Sgtaverysarmy@yahoo.com a screenshot of your mileage so we can add it to the team total and reach the summit of Mt Evans!

You can also join me for a group ride on Sat May 22nd.

Sunday May 22, 2021 group ride details: Ride start time 11am. Meet in the Regal River Point theatre parking lot at 3565 South Platte River Drive Sheridan, CO 80110.We will be riding on the paved South Platte River Trail bike path going east towards Chatfield Reservoir. Ride at your own pace. This is an out and back ride so you determine how long and how far you want to ride. Lots of great sights/sites along the way: Carson Nature Center, Hudson Gardens, Centennial lake. Social distancing will be observed with masks required whenever less than 6 ft apart.

If you can’t ride, you can still support Sgt. Avery’s Army by making a donation. Last year Sgt. Avery’s Army won 1st Place in the team fundraiser competition, raising over $5000 for the Scleroderma Foundation. Please help me defend this title in 2021. It has been a challenging year but any amount is greatly appreciated! To donate, click on “Support Sgt. Avery’s Army”.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. All contributions are used to support those with scleroderma, raise awareness, and to find a cure. If you would like to find out more about scleroderma and the Foundation, please visit www.scleroderma.org.

Please forward this to anyone you think might want to cycle or donate too. It takes a village!
Carol
