Rocky Mountain Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Adventure

Team MR

Hello Friends,

Again this year because of COVID (and to protect those still at high risk, such as those living with scleroderma) instead of a big walk with hundreds of people fundraising for scleroderma, we are each doing our own STEPPING OUT ADVENTURE to continue to support this cause.

This year, I have partnered with my friend ROBIN BEHRSTOCK and her company HIKING IN THE ROCKIES for my Adventure. Robin will lead us on sunset hike up Chief Mountain on Monday evening, June 21. We'll get to the top in time for a great view of the sunset while we take a break to enjoy some wine, cheese and snacks before we head back down the mountain. The hike is 3 miles roundtrip with 1000 feet of elevation gain. Check our Robin's website at to learn more about her organized hikes.

Register to join Robin and me on this fun Adventure. Registration includes a pair of very cool specially designed hiking socks! Registration is limited to 15 people (if it sells out, we'll consider adding a 2nd hike at a later date).

When: June 21, 2021

Time: 6:00 pm (Meet at the Bergen Park Park-N-Ride at CO-74 and Evergreen Parkway in Evergreen, CO; we will car pool together to Chief Mountain due to limited parking at the trail head.)

Where: Chief Mountain

What You Need to Bring: Water, warm clothing (extra layers or jacket for the cool evening once the sun goes down), headlamp or flashlight

My goal is to raise $3,000 this year. This is my 17th straight Stepping Out year and I greatly appreciate all the support you've given me over the years. Thanks to you I've seen much progress in treatment over the years that is improving the quality and extending the lives of many with scleroderma until we discover a cure.

If you can't join us and would still like to donate, I'll throw in a pair of hiking socks for any donation of $25 or more (just type Socks in the Add a Personal Note box if you would like a pair)! Your donation to the scleroderma community with a contribution to my page will fund life-changing support, education and research for people affected by this disease. Whatever you can give will help – it all adds up. To donate, just click on DONATE NOW.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
