Tri-State News regarding Coronavirus, Covid-19

Your health and safety and that of every person affected by scleroderma is of paramount importance to the Scleroderma Foundation Tri-State Chapter. The Tri-State Chapter takes very seriously the threat the coronavirus presents to individuals living with scleroderma.

Therefore, we have moved our support group meetings to virtual or canceled some in the short term. View our calendar above for individual meeting details.

Our Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walks for June have transitioned to virtual walks as well. Consider Stepping Out and raising awareness in your community, your way! Click on Tri-State Events for further information.

What is Scleroderma?

Scleroderma, or systemic sclerosis, is a chronic connective tissue disease generally classified as one of the autoimmune rheumatic diseases. The word “scleroderma” comes from two Greek words: “sclero” meaning hard, and “derma” meaning skin. Hardening of the skin is one of the most visible manifestations of the disease.
