Sclero-What? Eighth Annual Scleroderma Regional Education Day

The 2020 Patient Education Day will be held via Zoom on Saturday, October 10, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon. We are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be Carol Feghali−Bostwick, Ph.D. Dr. Feghali−Bostwick will present "Scleroderma Research: What's New?"

This education day is free and open to the public. The event will include door prize drawings. Register for a chance to win!

Carol Feghali-Bostwick, Ph.D.
Dr. Feghali-Bostwick was recruited to the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology in 2013 as the SmartState and Kitty Trask Holt Endowed Chair and Professor of Medicine at Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Feghali-Bostwick earned her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Feghali-Bostwick leads a team of clinical and basic scientists focusing on the pathogenic mechanisms underlying fibrosis whose goal is to identify novel targets for therapy and develop new anti-fibrotic strategies for scleroderma/systemic sclerosis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and other fibrosing conditions. Dr. Feghali-Bostwick also contributes to the mentoring of young physicians and academic scientists.
Marcus Snow, M.D.
Dr. Snow joined Nebraska Medicine in 2015 after over 5 years in private practice in Omaha. He completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology. Dr. Snow sees patients on a regular basis at Village Pointe Clinic and does travel to Columbus, NE for clinic twice a month. His medical interests include general rheumatology (with special interest in Scleroderma and Raynaud's Phenomenon) and when not working, he enjoys swimming, biking, and golfing.
Kathy Millington, R.D.
Kathy Millington is a registered dietitian and she holds the position of Nutritional Health Coach at Natural Grocers in Lincoln, Nebraska. Kathy has a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and she completed her dietetic internship at the University of Iowa. Kathy enjoys educating people on how to use nutrition to support their health through free nutrition coaching sessions, nutrition presentations, and visiting with customers in the aisles at Natural Grocers.
