1. Do I need to walk anywhere?

No, this event is entirely virtual. It coincides with many of the physical "Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma" events that our chapters and support groups are hosting. (Check here to see if there is an event already scheduled near you.) This event is for our supporters who don't live within a chapter/support group territory that hosts an event so that you can participate and fundraise to support the Scleroderma Foundation as well.

2. Should I start a team or participate on my own as an individual?

That's entirely up to you. However, if you start a team, it's a great way to recruit family and friends to join the fundraising effort as well. For instance, if you're a member of a support group, why not get all of your support group members together to join?

3. Will I receive anything for my participation?

Participants who raise $75 or more by Sept. 1, 2017, will receive a special commerative t-shirt in honor of the World Scleroderma Day Virtual Walk.

4. Where do I register?

5. What's my username and password to register?

If you've previously made an online donation, registered for an event (i.e. the National Patient Education Conference), signed up for our weekly eLetter, completed an advocacy alert or another action on our website, you may already have login information.

6. What's my Participant Center and how do I use it?

The Participant Center is your online portal to track your fundraising success throughout the event. You can create a fundraising website for your personal and team fundraising efforts. (Note: access to team content is only available to Team Captains.) Send emails to ask people to make a donation to support your participation, join you at the event, or thank them for taking the time to make a gift.
