At New 2015 "Food Fight!" Event, Chefs Competed for Scleroderma

2015 Food Fight Chef Creation

On September 10, 2015, local chefs gathered together at the BAC Appliance Center in Englewood, CO to battle it out for bragging rights to the best appetizer, bite-size entree and dessert all to raise money for a hard disease - scleroderma!  Guests enjoyed an evening filled with fun and great food and beverages, all donated by our sponsors.  Over $36,000 was raised for scleroderma!  Mark Koebrich of 9NEWS hosted the evening and the chefs' creations made it very difficult for our guests and judges to pick their favorite dishes.   But after sampling all the choices (sometimes more than once!), Pastry Chef Maggie Restivo of Brazen came out on top taking both the People's Choice and Judges' Choice for best dessert with her gooey butter cake.  People's Choice for best appetizer went to Chef Sheila Lucero, Jax Fish House, for her grilled lobster, shrimp and kaffir lime broth bowl while the Judges' Choice went to Chef Ian Kleinman, The Inventing Room, for his spicy pork wonton tacos with compressed green apple coconut caviar.  Chef Patrick Swetnam, The Summit Steakhouse, captured the People's Choice for best entree with his wagyu skirt steak roulade and Chef Raphael Najera, Wash Park Grille, took the Judges' Choice with his lobster and shrimp mac and cheese.  Yummy! We can't pass along the great tastes, but we can pass along the pictures of Food Fight!
