Stress-Management Group Workshops

When:  Tuesday evenings - October 16, 23, 30 and November 6, 2018

During this 4-week stress management skills training program, participants will learn about how to manage stress using cognitive-behavorial strategies, relaxation and effective coping strategies. 

Co-facilitiated by Alaina Carr and Adam Harris, Doctoral students in the UCD Clinical Psychology Program. Supervised by Kristin Kilbourn, PhD, MPH.

Kids Get Scleroderma Too

When: Friday evening, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, 2018

This year Denver will host the 2nd Kids Get Scleroderma Too educational conference for juveniles and teens with scleroderma, their siblings and families. Workshops will include educational sessions as well as activities for the younger patients to interact and get to know each other. Friday night includes a Halloween party! Where:  UCHealth-Anschutz Medical Campus, Bruce Schroffel Conference Center, Inpatient Pavilion 2, 12505 E. 16th Ave., Aurora, CO 
Registration Fee: $12.00/pp

The annual Patient Education Day features sessions covering many aspects of scleroderma, including skin involvement, diet, dental care, renal issues, sleep issues and who you need on your medical team. Families attending Kids Get Scleroderma Too on Saturday, October 27 may be interested in attending the morning sessions at the Patient Education Day because we will cover symptoms that overlap between juvenile and adult scleroderma.
