Overview
The
purpose of this activity is to evaluate the current screening measures to help
with early diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with systemic
sclerosis (SSc-PAH).
Target
Audience
This activity has been designed to
meet the educational needs of physicians, registered nurses, and other health
care professionals involved in the management of patients with scleroderma.
Educational Objectives
- Identify the risk factors and earliest symptoms of SSc-PAH
- Describe the current international guidelines and recommendations for early and specific diagnosis of SSc-PAH
- Analyze the limitations of current diagnostic tools, and discuss future diagnostic options
- Provide appropriate care and counsel for patients and their families
