The Scleroderma Foundation and the Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is hosting a FREE CME/CNE Activity on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in San Francisco; The general objective of this event will be to raise awareness about difficult management problems in systemic sclerosis related to gastrointestinal involvement, Raynaud phenomenon, and digital ulcers.  Pre-registration is required.

University of Utah Doctor Leads Trial of New Systemic Sclerosis Drug

1654041.jpgFour doctors worldwide are testing a new drug to treat systemic sclerosis including Dr. Tracy Frech at the University of Utah.  Dr. Frech helped start the systemic sclerosis clinic at the University of Utah, which remains the only one in the Intermountain West.

Analysis Reveals Reasons for Use of Yoga

yoga2.jpgAccording to the National Institutes of Health, people who practiced yoga or took natural products were more likely to do so for wellness reasons than to treat a specific health condition.  More than 80 percent of yoga users reported reduced stress as a resulting of practicing yoga.
