Hospital for Special Surgery is a world leader in musculoskeletal care. With 37 rheumatologists, it has the largest rheumatology practice in the country, including an extensive research program. Access to the website is free, and it has two separate sections -- one aimed at patients and the other at physicians -- although readers can roam any of the sections. It includes in-depth disease overviews, expert interviews, special reports, and summaries of the hospital's monthly workshops for people with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and myositis. In
addition for those readers who choose to register--a quick and non-intrusive
process -- we provide exclusive personalized and interactive features
that can help patients better understand and control their health care.
In the "Registered Physicians" section are responses to readers'
questions in Ask the Experts, as well as the opportunity to register for
free online CME. In the "Registered Patients" section, features
enable readers to record and track health care appointments and medications,
