Rheumatology.HSS.edu

Hospital for Special Surgery is a world leader in musculoskeletal care. With 37 rheumatologists, it has the largest rheumatology practice in the country, including an extensive research program. Access to the website is free, and it has two separate sections -- one aimed at patients and the other at physicians -- although readers can roam any of the sections. It includes in-depth disease overviews, expert interviews, special reports, and summaries of the hospital's monthly workshops for people with rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and myositis.

In addition for those readers who choose to register--a quick and non-intrusive process -- we provide exclusive personalized and interactive features that can help patients better understand and control their health care. In the "Registered Physicians" section are responses to readers' questions in Ask the Experts, as well as the opportunity to register for free online CME. In the "Registered Patients" section, features enable readers to record and track health care appointments and medications, as well as to build a pain diary to help identify when pain occurs, its severity, and what tends to aggravate or help it - all important information to bring to the physician's attention. This section also has special articles with how-to tips to make life with arthritis easier, safer and more comfortable. Registration also assures that readers receive an email
whenever we add new featured articles -- about once a month.

I encourage you to review our website, www.RRheumatology.HSS.edu-- and to click on "register" in the dark blue bar at the top of any page to access the special sections. Please let me know if you have any questions.
