White, M.D., University of Maryland. Dr. White,
who received small Scleroderma Foundation grants early
in her career, has gone on to receive over $1.5 million
in grants from NIH, $1 million in awards from the Veterans
Administration, $675,000 from the Arthritis Foundation,
and $250,000 from the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation,
among other groups. Dr. White comments, "The Scleroderma
Foundation has a wonderful program that has been very
successful in helping investigators look into new areas
of scleroderma research. It has also brought new investigators
into the field. I am grateful to the Scleroderma Foundation
for supporting my work."
