Scleroderma Foundation Attends 2009 CHEST Meeting
The American College of CHEST Physicians (ACCP) held its annual CHEST meeting in San Diego, Calif., on October 31st through November 5th. The meeting brought together over 4,000 individuals from across the globe, many of whom were practicing physicians and other medical professionals. The educational forum was designed to inform the medical community about latest developments in the prevention and treatment of chest diseases. The Scleroderma Foundation’s Education Manager, Kerri Connolly, was in attendance, and was impressed by the number of developments made in addressing the needs of patients with chest issues."One workshop I found very helpful and informative discussed resources and suggestions for assisting patients with travel needs. Seminars such as these provide basic yet vital information and resources for practitioners looking for practical travel solutions for their patients." In addition to this workshop, the CHEST meeting featured over 300 other workshops and seminars that included a vast array of topics on cardiopulmonary health.
