John McCutcheon

New York City Actor Prepares to Hike Appalachian Trail in Memory of His Grandmother, Susan Dart

John McCutcheon will hike from Georgia to Maine—all 2,175 miles! He leaves on April 1.

John McCutcheon is a 2006 graduate of Brown University where he studied visual art with a focus in photography. Originally from St. Louis Mo., John now lives in New York City where he is pursuing a career in the performing arts.

Notable performance work includes commercial spots for Circuit City and Hasbro Toys as well as a regional production of Oklahoma. John is currently performing with the National Tour of Peter Pan.

Between engagements, John works freelance for Kim Swanson CSA, casting director of Hanson Entertainment, and has spent time developing a marketing strategy for the St. Louis Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. A nature boy at heart, John has been hiking since he was young throughout the Rocky Mountains, the Great Smokies, and the Upper Appalachians. John has also spent many months backpacking through Central and Eastern Europe during his study of Renaissance Art in Florence, Italy. He is proud to be hiking in honor of his grandmother, Susan Dart, and is thankful to have the help and support of such a worthy organization as the Scleroderma Foundation.
