Hamilton Finishes a Solid 17th in Richmond
The No. 25 Team Rensi Motorsports Ford Fusion with Bobby Hamilton, Jr. behind the wheel finished the Lipton TEA 250 in 17th position. Hamilton started from the 20th position and began to work his way closer to the top ten. The car seemed to handle well throughout the early portions of the event, allowing Hamilton to move as high as 11th position.
“We ran OK tonight, we just had a few little things that kept us from finishing in the top-ten,” Hamilton said referring to pit road and tire problems later in the race. With his 17th place finish, Hamilton now stands in 11th position in the season-long points race. Home town favorite Denny Hamlin captured the win.
Bobby and the Team Rensi Motorsports/Smithfield #25 Ford Taurus now move on to South Carolina’s Darlington Raceway for the Diamond Hill Plywood 200. Be sure to watch Bobby’s run on ESPN2, Friday evening, May 9 at 7 p.m. |
