Bobby Hamilton, Jr. Finishes 19th at Fontana
Bobby Hamilton, Jr. and the No. 25 Smithfield Ford team had a solid performance Saturday night at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. They qualified 18th and after 300 consistent miles, finished 19th.
Give eventual winner Kyle Busch credit for being a quick study. Nudged out of the way and deprived of a win by Carl Edwards in the previous Sprint Cup race at Bristol, Busch didn’t let Edwards anywhere near his rear bumper in the closing laps of Saturday night’s Nationwide Series Camping World 300. After a restart with eight laps remaining, Busch pulled away, as he had done consistently all night long, to hold off his nemesis and win the race.
Bobby and the Team Rensi Motorsports #25 Ford Fusion now move to Richmond International Raceway for the Emerson Radio 250. You can watch all the action this coming Friday evening, September 5 at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2. Check your local listings for the broadcast time in your area. |
