Eight MAB Members Make America’s Top Doctors List

Richard Silver, M.D. was voted "Doctor of the Year" at the Scleroderma Foundation 2007 Conference

The names of eight Scleroderma Foundation Medical Advisory Board members will appear in the 7th edition of Castle Connolly “America’s Top Doctors” book, to be released next month. On the list will be:

• Frank Arnett, M.D., University of Texas Medical School at Houston
• Philip Clements, M.D., UCLA
• Michael Ellman, M.D., University of Chicago
• Vincent Falanga, M.D., Roger Williams Medical Center
• Maureen Mayes, M.D., University of Texas Medical School at Houston
• Rick Silver, M.D, Medical University of South Carolina
• Virginia Steen, M.D., Georgetown University Medical Center
• Frederick Wigley, M.D., Johns Hopkins Hospital

Only physicians nominated and reviewed by their medical peers are eligible for recognition in “America’s Top Doctors.” About 230,000 physicians were surveyed before evaluators completed a final list of 5,000 top specialists based on each individual’s rigorous medical training, extensive clinical knowledge and experience, and further training in some specialties.
