Emily Woods's Story Featured in "Readers Digest"

Foundation to benefit from her new online greeting cards business

The June issue of “Readers Digest” features a story on Emily Woods, who chronicles her experience with a stem cell transplantation procedure for systemic sclerosis. The four-page story begins on page 132 of the magazine, which has a circulation exceeding 10 million readers. We anticipate the story will raise awareness of the procedure in particular and scleroderma in general.

Woods first wrote of her story in the “Scleroderma Voice" (2006 #2). She is a single mother, and a member of the Texas Bluebonnet Chapter.

In other news involving Woods, earlier this month she launched a Web site www.dreamonmedia.com that features greeting cards she designed. A portion of the proceeds from the cards’ sale will be redirected to the Scleroderma Foundation.
