Frannie Waldron Named Chief Executive Officer of Scleroderma
Foundation
DANVERS, Mass. – Frances (Frannie) Waldron, acting
executive director of the Scleroderma Foundation since
May, has been appointed chief executive officer by the
Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Waldron has worked at the Foundation since 2004, primarily
in a development capacity, and has 20 years experience
in non-profits. Most recently, she also served as the
Foundation’s director of development and communications.
“The board is thrilled to have someone of Frannie’s
caliber leading the organization on a day-to-day basis,”
said Joseph Camerino, Ph.D, Foundation board chair.
“Frannie has proven that she has the ability and
the drive to keep the Foundation moving in a direction
that directly benefits people living with the disease.
We are confident that under her leadership we will continue
to make progress toward our ultimate goal of identifying
a cure for scleroderma.”
At the Scleroderma Foundation, Waldron has managed
the direct mail campaign, supervised national “Stepping
Out to Cure Scleroderma” walks, and handled planned
giving, major donor and workplace giving programs .
She also oversees the planning and logistics of the
Foundation’s national gala, a major fundraiser,
and its national conference.
Prior to joining the Scleroderma Foundation, Waldron
held development positions in higher education settings
in both Vermont and California. Waldron received her
bachelor’s degree in international studies from
the School for International Training in Brattleboro,
Vt., and her Master of Business Administration from
Plymouth State University in New Hampshire.
When not working, Waldron has been active as a volunteer
in both child development and youth exchange organizations.
