Racing For Life Lands at Bike Week
2006 in Daytona Beach this Weekend
After a weeklong journey
that started Monday in California, the Racing For Life
team finds itself visiting with the Scleroderma Foundation
Support Groups in Houston, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana
today, March 3.
This multi-state trek has
resulted in great awareness being raised about scleroderma,
the Foundation’s support groups and the Racing
For Life effort in supporting and raising funds for
the Scleroderma and Lance Armstrong foundations. (To

they became involved with the Scleroderma Foundation,

Along the way, the team has been interviewed in English
and Spanish-speaking newspapers, and covered by local
television stations in many of the cities, and brought
together Foundation members and the public to raise
awareness.
This Sunday, Racing For Life lands in Daytona Beach
for Bike Week 2006. From March 5–12 the team will
man a booth, provide Foundation literature to those
who are interested and sell packages containing wrist
bracelets from each Foundation and a raffle ticket for
a fully restored vintage motorcycle (minimum donation
is $5, with proceeds going to the Foundations).
If you’re planning to go to Bike Week—or
live in the area—stop by the Racing For Life booth.
They would love to talk with you.
