National Conference Information: If
You’re Coming, Read This

If you are coming to the National Conference in Minneapolis
this coming week, here are some small pieces of information
you may find helpful. Please feel free to pass these
along to your support group leaders and others if you
think they might help:
- If you are flying into the Minneapolis International
Airport, free shuttle service is available from the
airport to the hotel from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Shuttles
leave every hour on the half hour. They are not wheelchair
accessible
- If you are in need of accessible shuttle service
to the hotel, you can call Airport Taxi at 952-928-0000
or Metro Mobility, which offers door-to-door accessible
transportation. The number is 651-602-1111
- Still considering coming but have not decided? There
is still time. You can call the Foundation at 800-722-HOPE
to register
- Dress for the conference's opening reception, the
workshops and general session is casual and comfortable.
For the Awards Dinner on Saturday evening, we ask
that you wear your “Sunday Best”
- For those in your chapter who are registered on
our 24/7 “Get Connected” Message Board,
please feel free to include your screen name (along
with your real name) on your conference name tag.
This way you can get connected in person as well as
online!
- If you have any sort of special need—extra
blankets, mobility requirements, etc.—please
contact the hotel at 866-837-4278 to get them arranged
- Plan to show up on Friday evening and enjoy a relaxing
opening reception!
