One More Month Until Minneapolis Becomes
the Center of the Scleroderma World (for at Least One
Weekend)!
Plan to join us in Minnesota for the 2006 National
Conference on July 28–30—and don’t
forget the open reception starting at 6:30 p.m. if you’re
coming in Friday evening.
It appears anticipation is building for the National
Conference as we enter the last month before we gather
together. Here in the National Office we’ve received
many comments from people looking forward to what they
will find in Minneapolis.
And there has also been an active conversation about
the conference going on in the Foundation’s chat
room. Here are a handful of those comments:
“I am going to the Conference this year. I went
two years ago and it was the best thing that I did for
myself and my family. I met a lot of people with scleroderma
and got a whole lot of great information that I don't
think I could have gotten anywhere else. The conference
gave me a whole new outlook on my disease and helped
me cope with having scleroderma. I also realized that
I wasn't alone anymore and that helped me tremendously.”
“I think I'm going to go and I believe my mom
is going to go with me! She enjoys traveling and has
always wanted to go to the Mall up there! We can get
flights right now for $235 round trip so that's not
too shabby either!!”
“Definitely heading to Minnesota for the conference.
Going up early so I can buy our daughter's school clothes
for next year. No state tax on clothes or shoes. Added
plus—the wonderful people I get to meet face to
face from around the nation who know what it's like
to have scleroderma. Loved the 03' conference.”
“I am so excited about the conference this year.
I have already signed up and can't wait to go. I just
got married and my husband is very excited to go because
he wants to learn more too. They also have some really
great workshops that I haven't been to before. I think
it will be lots of fun—hope to see some of you
there!!”
Have you signed up for the National Conference yet?
If not, don’t wait too long…you can find
