Scleroderma Awareness Month—and
Our "Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma" Walk
Season—Is Just a Week Away
June is a busy month in the scleroderma world. June
is Scleroderma Awareness Month across the United States
and Canada, and chapters and support groups are planning
all kinds of awareness and outreach programs.
In addition, June is also the month when the vast majority
of our "Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma"
walks take place. If you’re not already involved
with a walk, we invite you—and your family and
friends—to visit www.scleroderma.org/walk_locations.shtm
to find a walk near you.
"Stepping Out" walks are always a great
day—with food, prizes, friendship, and, most importantly,
dedication to a great cause.
Efforts to get the word out about scleroderma and
the walks are well underway, with the Delaware Valley
Chapter getting some time on the "Today" show
this past week to talk about awareness month and their
local events. Word is also coming in about news stories
in print and on television about upcoming special events
being held by support groups and chapters nationwide.
