Actelion Pharamaceuticals, Platinum Sponsor for the 2006
National Gala |
$500 Going Once, $500 Going Twice …
How does the prospect of having a street named after
you sound? Well, thanks to Pulte Homes of Nevada and
a winning auction bid, you could see your name on a
street sign in Las Vegas. The Michigan-based home-building
company has made that offer to the individual who makes
the highest bid during the auction at our National Gala
to be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Four Seasons Hotel
in Las Vegas.
The prize is one of seven live auction items that have
been finalized for the gala. Other live auction items
include a four-night stay at a condominium in the island
of Cozumel; artwork by Foundation Chapter and Support
Group Manager Kristine Nirdlinger; a week-long stay
at a Florida condominium in December; season tickets
to the Las Vegas 51s, the AAA minor league baseball
team affiliated with the Los Angeles Dodgers; a two-night
stay at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Lake Las Vegas; and
for golf fans an autographed golf flag signed by the
game’s best player, Tiger Woods.
Items that have been committed to the silent auction
include a three-night stay to the New York City Marriott
Marquis, along with two orchestra section tickets to
the Broadway show Avenue Q, and dinner; four tickets
to a show to see the Scintas; two tickets to see a Las
Vegas show starring George Wallace; and a framed crew
shirt from our NASCAR racing partner Kenny Wallace.
(George Wallace and Frankie Scinta of the Scintas will
be performing at the gala).
Tickets to the gala are still available. Call Pam O’Meara,
Nevada chapter, at 702 646-9496 or Frannie Waldron,
national office, 800-722-4673 if you want tickets.
The auction will be hosted by Chris Harrison, who is
best known as the host of the ABC reality series, “The
Bachelor.”
The gala and the silent auction begin at 6 p.m. Dinner,
an awards presentation, entertainment and the live auction
will follow. Best of all, the gala will raise money
for the Foundation and its mission of support, education
and research. |
