Liz Van Dzura, Executive Director of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation

Liz Van Dzura Named New Executive Director of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation

Liz Van Dzura, who has extensive experience working for non-profit groups, has been hired as the new executive director of the Delaware Valley chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation www.scleroderma.org/chapter/delaware_valley/.

She replaces Pat Johnsen, who will remain with the chapter in a voluntary role.

Van Dzura was born and raised in New Jersey. She is a graduate of the former Glassboro State College (now Rowan University).

Van Dzura has held a number of positions prior to her recent appointment. She worked as a transcriber for court reporters, and later in corporate communications for a truck company. Her first job in non-profits was in a communications capacity for a nursing association. More recently, she has worked in special events and fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Seabrook House Foundation, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.

“This position is a good fit for me professionally because of my past experiences,” Van Dzura said. “I am ready for the responsibilities that come with leading an organization like this.”

The Delaware Valley chapter is responsible for assisting people living with scleroderma in southern New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware.
