About Richard J. Sagall, M.D.

Richard J. Sagall, MD, a family physician, is the president and co-founder of NeedyMeds, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. After nearly 25 years in Family Medicine and Occupational Medicine, he now divides his time between NeedyMeds and Pediatrics for Parents, a children’s health newsletter with a circulation of nearly 250,000.

He is a graduate of the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo and the Family Practice Residency Program at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, Maine. He has written many articles on occupational health topics, drug abuse testing, and pharmaceutical patient assistance programs and other sources of help for those who can’t afford their medications or medical care. He has spoken on these topics many times to groups across the country.
