About Simon Mittal, M.D.

Simon Mittal, M.D. is a board certified internist who has been practicing in Minnesota as part of the Mayo Health System. He completed his medical degree at the University of Texas at the Texas Medical Center in Houston and completed his Internal Medicine training in Denver, Colorado. While serving in the U.S. Army, he was awarded the Surgeon General Award for Excellence. Currently, as a Clinical Instructor for the Mayo Medical School he has presented to students on various topics including autoimmune diseases. He has been awarded the MacMillan Scholarship for Leadership and recently completed a masters degree in Medical Management. He is also the founder of The Alternative Physician, a new Web site that offers patients accurate information about the use of complementary and alternative treatments in their care.
