Dr. Brasington currently works at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as a professor of medicine in the Division of Rheumatology. His specialty areas are rheumatology and arthritis. His areas of clinical interest are the investigation of new treatments for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, and Sjögren's syndrome.

Dr. Brasington received his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina and completed his fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Iowa.
