About John Varga

John Varga, M.D., is the Gallagher research professor in rheumatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and the chairman of the Scleroderma Foundation Medical Advisory Board. He has received a number of awards, including Foundation honors in 2003 (Founder’s Award) and 2006 (Doctor of the Year). Before joining Northwestern in 2004, Dr. Varga was director of rheumatology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and taught at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Varga has edited two books, and authored 20 book chapters and over 160 medical and scientific publications.
