Tristate members with Early Show cast in NYC

On Saturday, June 28th, the Scleroderma Foundation was given special mention on the CBS "The Early Show". Live on the streets of NYC, a handful of dedicated scleroderma advocates from the Foundation's Tri-State Chapter stood alongside CBS anchor, Lonnie Quinn, to generate greater awareness for scleroderma. Lonnie took aside fellow New Jersey scleroderma patient and advocate, Natalie, to talk about her diagnosis and discuss general symptoms associated with the disease. Thanks to Lonnie and fellow scleroderma supporters, notable mention was made regarding many walks that were being held across the country in honor of June being Scleroderma Awareness Month!

The Nationwide Series Moves to Chicago

Bobby Hamilton Jr. and the Team Rensi Motorsports/Smithfield #25 Ford Fusion travel to the midwest for the Dollar General 300 powered by Coca-Cola at the Chicagoland Speedway. Since its inaugural season in 2001, the Chicagoland Speedway has become an unexpected and significant draw for major NASCAR and IRL events, often selling out major races months in advance.

The speedway itself is known to be one of NASCAR's infamous "cookie cutter" speedways, due to the fact that it resembles many other 1.5 mile downforce racetracks that resemble a D-shape in the NASCAR racing series. Although it may have the stigma of being a "cookie cutter" D-shaped oval, Chicagoland is unique in that it is one continuous curve, as the backstretch has a noticeable bend to it.

Be sure to watch Bobby and the entire team Friday evening, July 11th on ESPN at 7:30 p.m., EST. Check your local listings for the time in your area.
