Photo of the Week

Sister Mary Rose Noonan and fellow Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet recently sponsored a fundraiser to benefit the Scleroderma Foundation in Latham, N.Y. With the help of the Foundation's Tri-State Chapter, the Sisters' fundraiser included speaker and humorist Sister Mary Ann Smollin, pianist Sister Patricia St. John, and also the musical talents of Sister Mary Rose on trombone. Together, the Sisters raised over $10,500 for the Scleroderma Foundation for the month of June a true financial "blessing" for all those living with scleroderma.

transplant procedures will be discussed. We would like to collect your
questions relating to this topic and present them to the moderator. |

It is usually a sign of a problem with your throat or esophagus-the muscular tube that moves food and liquids from the back of your mouth to your stomach. Although dysphagia can happen to anyone, it is most common in older adults, premature babies, and people with problems of the brain or nervous system. |

By Charlie Strange, M.D. and James R. Seibold, M.D.
If Lewis Carroll (quoted in the title) were alive today, he may well have considered a career in scleroderma research. Systemic sclerosis (SSc; scleroderma) remains without a clearly defined pathogenesis and without an effective overarching approach to therapy. |
