Did
you know that on our Web site we have just added a "My Space" page to our Juvenile Scleroderma section?

This area features articles that appear in the "Scleroderma VOICE" magazine that are written by real kids living with scleroderma. It's a place to care and share, and know that you're not alone.

Maureen Mayes, M.D. |
On behalf of Maureen Mayes M.D., MPH, the Scleroderma Family Registry & DNA Repository invites you to register and become members of their organization. This NIH/NIAMS (National Institutes of Health/National Institute for Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases) financed national resource has to date enrolled over 1,100 scleroderma patients.
Thanks to these samples, they have made some strong associations with a small group of genes and are in the process of publishing these results, but they need a total of 4,000 samples. This is where you can help. |

Do you need special equipment to help you use the telephone more effectively?
We live in an age where most people take using the telephone for granted. At least several times a day, most of us use a telephone to call friends and family members, schedule appointments, place orders, and handle any of a number of other tasks. A person’s inability to use a telephone due to a physical disability can often result in loneliness, isolation and a sense of increased vulnerability. |

Watch Bobby Hamilton, Jr. Race, Fri., March 15
Be sure to watch Bobby and the Team Rensi/Smithfield car at Bristol for the Sharpie Mini 300, perhaps one of the best racetracks on the NASCAR circuit. Also one of the most popular tracks, this all-concrete construction is similar to Dover, except far shorter. Although the track still advertises the banking as 36 degrees, which would make it the most steeply banked track used by NASCAR, it is now accepted that the actual banking ranges from 24 to 30 degrees after the track's most recent resurfacing in 2007. However, the track is so short that speeds here are far lower than is typical on most NASCAR oval tracks, but very fast compared to other short tracks due to the high banking, making for a considerable amount of "swapping paint."
The race can be seen on ABC on Saturday, March 15 at 2 p.m. Be sure to watch and cheer Bobby and the entire team on to victory.
