13 Year Old with Scleroderma Chosen to Testify Before Congress, March 13, 2008

Inspiring hope wherever she goes and aiming to dispel medical misconceptions, 13-year-old Cynthia Cervantes has become a national advocate for many people more than twice her age who struggle with a rare autoimmune disease called scleroderma. While scleroderma typically strikes people between the ages of 25 and 45, it hit Cynthia at age 11.

Camp Wonder Photo

Camp Wonder Is Now Accepting Applications

Camp Wonder is a summer camp in Livermore, Calif. for children with serious and fatal skin disease aged 7–16 years old. Camp offers a wide variety of activities.They include swimming, boating, arts and crafts, games, archery, fishing, ropes course, nature walks, sports & recreation, silly olympics, theater and more. Camp is a great place to bond with other children your age and have some wonderful experiences and fun.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR CHILDREN ATTENDING CAMP. Because many families of children with severe skin disease are burdened with large medical expenses, children attend CSDF's camps without charge.

The Nicorette 300 on Saturday, March 8 in Atlanta begins a stretch of three straight weeks of racing in the Southeast portion of the United States. One of Bobby Hamilton, Jr.’s favorite race tracks, Atlanta Motor Speedway is a tough mile and half super speedway and demands a smooth handling chassis and major horsepower.
