Understanding Clinical Trials

Choosing to participate in a clinical trial is an important personal decision. The following frequently asked questions provide detailed information about clinical trials. In addition, it is often helpful to talk to a physician, family members, or friends about deciding to join a trial. After identifying some trial options, the next step is to contact the study research staff and ask questions about specific trials.

The 2007 national meeting of the American College of Rheumatology held November 6–11, 2007, in Boston, Mass., highlighted presentations on clinical and basic research by investigators from the U.S. and abroad.  New observations on systemic sclerosis (SSc) were described in the format of posters and oral presentations.

2008 Medicare Prescription Drug Open Enrollment Questions and Answers

MedicareOpen Enrollment for Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) is November 15, 2007–December 31,2007.This is the one time each year that all people with Medicare can join or change their Medicare drug plan.
