Stem Cell Transplantation Works for Scleroderma

NEW YORK — Major and durable improvements in skin scores and overall function are being seen among patients with systemic sclerosis who undergo high-dose immunosuppressive therapy and autologous stem cell transplantation, Dr. Daniel E. Furst said at a rheumatology meeting sponsored by New York University.
