ACR Meeting Productive for Foundation

Scleroderma Foundation Chief Executive Officer Frannie Waldron and Information and Referral Coordinator Jaye van Dussen attended the American College of Rheumatology meeting this week in Washington, D.C.

A phase I trial of non-myeloablative or reduced intensity hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in patients with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) has proven safe and well tolerated, according to research presented this week at the American College of Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Liz Van Dzura, who has extensive experience working for non-profit groups, has been hired as the new executive director of the Delaware Valley chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation.

"Voice" Magazine On Its Way

The next issue of the Scleroderma Foundation’s quarterly magazine, “Scleroderma Voice,” should be arriving in mailboxes the week of Dec. 4.

Watch Kenny Wallace Race This Saturday

Scleroderma awareness comes to Florida this Sat., Nov. 18. Please be sure to watch for the Scleroderma Foundation’s logo on the #22 car of our awareness partner—Kenny Wallace—as he races in the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla.

This race will air on TNT television and PRN radio networks. The race will air at 7 p.m. eastern. Support Kenny and help spread scleroderma awareness.

Last week Kenny finished 31st (due to an accident).
