SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- October 25, 2006 -- Treatment with the investigative oral agent ambrisentan appear to be helpful for patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), researchers reported here at CHEST 2006, the annual meeting of the American College of Chest Physicians.

UT Houston Wins NIH Grant to Help Better Understand Scleroderma Causes

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston has been awarded a five-year, $7.5 million grant to help medical researchers and physicians turn research discoveries into new drugs, treatments and diagnostics for people living with scleroderma.

Watch Kenny Wallace Race This Saturday

Scleroderma awareness comes to Arizona Sat., Nov. 11. Please be sure to watch for the Scleroderma Foundation’s logo on the #22 car of our awareness partner—Kenny Wallace—as he races in the Arizona Travel 200 at Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale, Arizona.

This race will air on NBC television and PRN radio networks. The race will air at 3:30 p.m. eastern. Support Kenny and help spread scleroderma awareness.

Last week Kenny finished 16th.
