Sherlyn Roberts Will Speak at National Gala in Las Vegas

We are pleased to announce that Sherlyn Roberts has agreed to speak at our National Gala in Las Vegas next month.

Roberts, who lives in Kansas, will share her inspirational story of recovery from diffuse systemic scleroderma following an autologous stem cell transplant under the care of Thomas Medsger, M.D., a member of the Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board.

"Today and Tomorrow: Optimizing Patient Management in Clinical Practice"

Mark your calendars for September 30 for an opportunity to participate in a special program geared toward providing up-to-date information on approved and effective therapies for those living with PAH or for those who wish to know more. This program will be offered in Dearborn, Mich. and will consist of a CME symposium tailored for cardiologists, pulmonologists, rheumatologists, primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and pharmacists. Patients and their families and friends are invited to attend the patient sessions offered by the Scleroderma Foundation and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Sept 19 - Low levels of exercise and respiratory training provide multiple benefits to patients with severe chronic pulmonary hypertension, including increased physical function, improved quality of life, and better gas exchange, according to a prospective study conducted in Germany. Scleroderma awareness comes to Delaware this Saturday, September 23, so be sure to watch for the Scleroderma Foundation’s logo on the #22 car of our awareness partner—Kenny Wallace—as he races in the Dover 200 at the Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware.

This race will air on TNT television and PRN radio networks. The race will air at 3:00 p.m. eastern. Support Kenny and help spread scleroderma awareness.

At the last race Kenny finished 24th.
