Myogen Initiates Open-Label Phase 3 Clinical Trial of Ambrisentan in Patients with Pulmonary Hypertension

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 7, 2006--Myogen, Inc. (Nasdaq: MYOG), a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of small molecule therapeutics for the treatment of cardiovascular disorders, today announced the initiation of ARIES-3 (AMB-323), a Phase 3 long-term, open-label safety and efficacy study of ambrisentan in a broad population of patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH).

"Rheumatology News" Reports: Sclerosis Sine Scleroderma May Not Be All That Rare

KEYSTONE, COLO. — Systemic sclerosis sine scleroderma should be considered in a patient with the common internal manifestations of scleroderma but not the sclerodactyly, digital ulcers, or other cutaneous features of the disorder, Dr. Richard T. Meehan said at a meeting sponsored by the National Jewish Medical and Research Center.

Scleroderma awareness comes to Virginia tonight, September 8, so be sure to watch for the Scleroderma Foundation’s logo on the car of our awareness partner—Kenny Wallace—as he races in the Emerson Radio 250 at the Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, Virginia.

This race will air on TNT television and PRN radio networks. The race will air at 7:30 p.m. eastern. Support Kenny and help spread scleroderma awareness.

Last week, Kenny finished 36th.
