Encysive's Thelin for PAH cleared in EU

HOUSTON, Aug. 11 (UPI)—Encysive said Friday its pulmonary arterial hypertension drug Thelin has been approved in Europe.

The company said its new treatment was cleared for the European market to treat patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension—classified as World Health Organization functional class III—to improve exercise capacity.

South Western Albany County Support Group Leader Attends Busch Race and Meets Kenny Wallace!

A few months ago I was on the Scleroderma Foundation’s website when I noticed that Nascar Busch Series driver Kenny Wallace had the Foundation logo displayed on his #22 car. A big Nascar fan, I decided to search the Internet and found ppc Racing, to which Kenny belongs. I e-mailed ppc Racing, and thanked them for its support of the Foundation. They responded by mailing me some Kenny Wallace autographed pictures.

Scleroderma awareness comes to Tennessee this Saturday, August 26, so be sure to watch for the Scleroderma Foundation’s logo on the car of our awareness partner—Kenny Wallace—as he races in the Food City 250 at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.

This race will air on TNT television and PRN radio networks. The race will air at 7:30 p.m. eastern. Support Kenny and help spread Scleroderma Awareness.

Last week, Kenny finished 18th.
