The
2006 Scleroderma Foundation National Conference featured many
new attendees, and a wealth of information intended to help
patients and their families manage the disease. More than
300 people attended the conference, about two-thirds of whom
were first-timers to the event. The newness gave this year’s
conference a sense of energy that could bring some change
to local chapters and support groups. |

an organization like the Scleroderma Foundation, which is
filled with individuals who are very committed to finding
a cure, picking out a handful for special recognition is very
difficult.

August/September issue of “Massage” magazine includes
a well-done feature on the affect of massage for people with
scleroderma. In particular, the story of Sandy, Utah scleroderma
patient Choice Kinchen is quite compelling. |

Watch
Kenny Wallace Race This Weekend
Scleroderma awareness comes to Michigan this Saturday, August
19, so be sure to watch for the Scleroderma Foundation’s
logo on the car of our awareness partner—Kenny Wallace—as
he races in the Carfax 250 at the Michigan International Speedway
in Brooklyn, Michigan.
This race will air on TNT television and MRN radio networks.
The race will air at 2:45 p.m. eastern. Support Kenny and
help spread Scleroderma Awareness.
