"Scleroderma
Care and Research" Journal: New Issue Is Now Available
The Scleroderma Clinical Trials Consortium (SCTC) is a charitable
nonprofit organization dedicated to finding better treatments
for scleroderma. Member institutions of the SCTC have set
up joint clinical trials, with funding from organizations
such as the Scleroderma Foundation, the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), and the National Institutes of Health
(NIH). The SCTC publishes "Scleroderma Care and Research,"
a quarterly journal of health issues related to scleroderma.
Volume
3, No. 2 – This issue includes "Health-Related
Quality of Life: A Primer with a Focus on Scleroderma,"
by Dinesh Khanna, M.D. and "Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension
in Systemic Sclerosis: Risk Factors and Diagnosis," by
Virginia Steen, M.D. (This is a pdf file.)

Kenny Wallace Race, Saturday, July 22
Scleroderma awareness comes to Virginia this weekend, so be
sure to watch for the Scleroderma Foundation’s logo
on the car of our awareness partner—Kenny Wallace—as
he races in the Goody’s 250 at the Martinsville Speedway,
Martinsville, Virginia.
This race will air on the NBC television and the MRN radio
networks. The race will air at 3:30 p.m. eastern. Support
Kenny and help spread Scleroderma Awareness.
Last week, Kenny had a rough time, crashing and finishing
42nd.
