Study Shows Inhaled Medicine Improves Survival for Lung Transplant Patients

An inhaled drug designed to reduce the odds of a new lung being rejected after a transplant may dramatically improve survival afterwards, says a new study from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dear Friends,

After many years of being in the midst of the battle to find a cure for scleroderma, I’ve learned that one of the most important truths we all live with is that change is always inevitable.

With this truth in mind—and after much soul-searching and careful consideration—I have tendered my resignation as the President/CEO of the Scleroderma Foundation, effective today, February 17.
