POZEN
Inc. presented key data from its PN 100 proof-of-concept study
during the American College of Gastroenterology Annual Meeting
in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 2, 2005. PN 100 is a fixed
combination of the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) lansoprazole
and the NSAID naproxen. Dr. James Alexander, POZEN's senior
vice president of product development and chief medical officer,
stated that the key finding of this trial is that PN 100 appears
to work very well as evidenced by the fact that it significantly
reduced gastric damage due to naproxen during the study period. |
