2009 Annual “Spring Fling,”

 Our Annual Spring Fling Auction/ Dinner/ Dance is fast approaching! This year's theme "Reflections" is speaking to the fact that while a person may be living with Scleroderma, they are more than just a patient. In a mirror that could reflect deeper you would see all the talents—a runner, artist, singer, dancer, musician, teacher, etc. We want to celebrate all the talents/dreams in our group! We are putting together a photo collage of those talents. If you have a great photo or an idea you would like included let us know ASAP. Thanks in advance to all our members who make up our special unique group!
Time: 5 p.m. Check-in and start of Silent Auction; 6 p.m. (approx.) dinner; 7–11 pm. Live Auction & Dancing
Where: Rainier Golf & Country Club, 11133 Des Moines Memorial Dr. S., Seattle, Wash.
Ticket Price: $35 per person. RSVP by May 7, 2009.
We are excited to have Dave Ross, KIRO Radio Personality, as our Host once again.
We also have speaker Marilyn Grey back giving us some laughter for the night.
This year has been tough with the loss of several wonderful friends. This is a night to have some fun with some old and new friends in our group. I would like to give some applause to the generous volunteers that are coming out of the woodwork to help us out the night of the event! We greatly appreciate any help we can get!! We can still use help in a few key areas.
If you are a regular at a business and would like to ask for a donation, or if you are a business owner and would like to donate, we have a procurement form and an example of a request letter you can download. You can either use this example or make your own form.
This year it has been hard to come up with items for the auction due to the economy, so any inventive and creative ways you can think of would help us out tremendously! If you are someone who is a music teacher, or a coach, or good at planning a fancy meal for a couple, this could work into an auction item. Maybe you could give a few guitar, piano, or tambourine lessons! This is just a crazy suggestion we're throwing out to all. Mainly, we really just want people to come, eat, have fun, and yes, dance like no one is watching!
If you would like to volunteer that night here are a few of the way’s you can:
- Help sell raffle tickets
- Help with check in or check out
- Help show off items during the Live Auction
- If you are artistic help make signs for the silent & live auction items. Make a sign at your church, school, or clubhouse
- E-mail people inviting them to come to the event.
