This year's speakers are the best of the best and will provide you with information relevant to today's Scleroderma Patient and their families!

From Eastern Suffolk County: Take Long Island Expressway westbound to Exit 51 (Deer Park Avenue) northbound. Continue North on Deer Park Avenue, which becomes Park Avenue (North of Jericho Turnpike) for approximately 8 miles.. Hospital is on right about ½ mile north of Route 25A (Main Street).
From Nassau County: Take Long Island Expressway eastbound to Exit 49N (Route 110) northbound. Continue North on Route 110 until you reach Route 25A (approximately 7 miles). Route 25A is "Main Street" in Huntington. Turn right on 25A until you reach Sabbath
Day Path (approximately 4/10 mile). Turn left on Sabbath Day Path and continue to the "Stop" sign. Go straight ahead for approximately 100 yards. Huntington Hospital is on the right.

Howard Blumstein, MD |
| "Overview of Scleroderma"
Dr. Howard Blumstein is a Board Certified Rheumatologist at Rheumatology Associates of Long Island, LLP. His practice is a full-time eight physician private multi-facility. Dr. Blumstein is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital and participates in the Rheumatology Fellowship Program. He has authored scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has a wide clinical interest and cares for patients with scleroderma and other collagen vasular diseases. It is both an honor and a pleasure to welcome Dr. Blumstein to our 2009 Long Island Educational Forum!

Jessica Gordon, MD
"Scleroderma Research Update"
Dr. Jessica Gordon is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She is currently a Senior Research Fellow in Rheumatology at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC. She has been involved in scleroderma research since20her residency when she worked with Virginia Steen, MD. She is currently a clinician and a clinical/translational researcher at Hospital for Special Surgery where she serves as a co-investigator with Robert Spiera, MD in the Gleevec in Systemic Sclerosis Clinical Trial and in the Scleroderma Registry. She has presented some of her work at the American College of Rheumatology national meetings. It is our honor to welcome Dr. Gordon to our 2009 Long Island Educational Forum!
