3rd National Scleroderma 5K Walk-A-Thon
organized by the Scleroderma Foundation, Texas Bluebonnet Chapter, Corpus Christi Support Group will be Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 8:15 a.m. at Heritage Park, 1581 N Chaparral, rain or shine.
This event is in honor of patients of the Scleroderma Foundation,
Texas Bluebonnet Chapter, Corpus Christi Support Group and others affected by scleroderma, and in memory of loved ones who fought this disease with hope and courage. The walk is also in recognition of National Scleroderma Awareness Month.
Sign-in will begin at 7:30 a.m., where pledges will be turned
in and T-shirts and race packets handed out.
Tell your friends, family, and co-workers about the walk,
invite them to participate and raise funds too. Tell everyone
about scleroderma and why you want to raise money to help
provide support for those afflicted with the disease, and
to fund research to find a cause, and ultimately a cure!
Registration
$10 per person: 6 years old – 16 years old on or before April 26, 2008
$15 per person: adult minimum donation on or before April 26, 2008
$20 per person: any age after April 26, 2008
Free – 5 years old and younger
Online Registration: To assist walkers in registering
and signing-up sponsors, the chapter has arranged with Firstgiving
to provide individualized online pledging pages for each interested
participant. In addition to registering online through Firstgiving,
walkers and other interested supporters can set up their own
personalized fundraising page by selecting the “Register
Online” link on the left. Walkers can e-mail the link
to their personalized page to potential sponsors they know
throughout the world.
Mail-in Registration: Walkers can also register by
mail. It is requested that mailed registration forms be postmarked
by April 26, 2008 and returned to:
