7th Annual "Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma"
Benefit Walk, Saturday, July 14, 2012
All-New Walk Start Time & Location!
9:00 a.m. registration, 10:00 a.m. walk start
Happy Valley Grade School & Park
13865 SE King Road, Happy Valley, Oregon 97086
The walk is 1.5 miles (1 loop) or 2.6 miles (2 loops) and shorter distances also are available. Walk will take place starting at Happy Valley Grade School and continue through Happy Valley Park and back to the school. Walking paths are flat, and the Happy Valley Park features wetlands. A boardwalk wanders through the wetlands allowing access to natural wonders and will continue onto a paved walkway around the park. Strollers are welcome!
Registration fee is $20.00 per participant 14 and older. ($25.00 day of walk.)
Lunch will be provided. T-shirts for all registrants. Prizes will be given for individual and team categories. We will also have raffle tickets available for purchase for our great raffle baskets.
So come and join in the fun with family and friends while raising awareness and funds for Scleroderma research!
After all the walk activities are over with, you may want to return to the park on your own and enjoy what the park has to offer for your children. Weather permitting, they can bring their swim suits and go in the splash pad at the park. The splash pad has sixteen (16) water sprays in a variety of spray sequences. The splash pad, which has no standing water, is equipped with showers, streams and water sprays. Happy Valley Park also offers an abundance of other activities for children. |

Our Purpose
The PURPOSE of the Chapter is to help patients
make contact with each other through Chapters,
Newsletters, and Workshops;
To EDUCATE and INFORM the public about scleroderma,
its meaning, and its consequences through a central
base; to ENCOURAGE more awareness within the medical
profession;
To PROMOTE medical research toward finding a
cause and cure;
To ACCEPT donations, bequests, memorials, and
grants from our generous supporters. |
