Annual Patient Education Seminar
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Sacramento for our annual Patient Education Seminar! We also thank Dr Dan Furst and Elaine Furst for coming up to Northern California and sharing their vast knowledge about scleroderma. We learned about how to cope with a chronic disease like scleroderma and how we can help ourselves. We learned that "we have people" and how to tap into that help in our support systems! We also learned about the latest in research and promising new treatments for scleroderma. All that, and a great lunch and chance to meet others. Some had never met another person with scleroderma, and tears were shed when one woman said she learned that she was not alone. Mark your calendar for next years event...September 27, 2009!
