SF/New
England Membership Is Very Important.
Although we have had a good year
thus far with fundraising events, memberships
have shown a serious decline. Since the start
of the new year it has been necessary to add staff,
move to larger quarters and invest considerable
funds in chapter operations and in fundraising
efforts. While much of our support comes from
the generosity of friends and interested people,
member support in the form of regular dues and
contributions remains critical.
We recognize that many of you have other support
responsibilities. Can you think of a more deserving
cause than the well-being of your organization?
Our sole purpose is to help fund the research
seeking the cure and to support and champion the
disease, which has impacted your or a loved one’s
life.
The New England Chapter has always been a leader
in the scleroderma cause and has had exceptional
growth in the past few years. By maintaining tight
budget controls and availing ourselves of volunteer
efforts, we have operated most frugally. However,
we do have many demands over which we have no
control and that is why we must rely on your support.
The first scleroderma support group in New England
started in the early 70’s, and it has taken 30
long years to reach our present status as a recognized
leader dedicated to helping those affected by
scleroderma. Please help us continue in our fight
against scleroderma by becoming
a member or by renewing your lapsed membership.
We need your support!
