5th Annual Worcester Walk-A-Thon
To Cure Scleroderma
Scheduled for May 6, 2007

The Fifth Annual Worcester Walk-A-Thon
To Cure Scleroderma will take place in the City of
Worcester, Mass., on Sunday, May 6, rain or shine. The
Walk is sponsored by the Scleroderma Foundation’s New
England Chapter.
Sign-in will begin in the Bancroft School
Gym, 110 Shore Drive, starting at 10 a.m., where pledges
will be turned in and T-shirts handed out. The Walk steps
off at 12 noon. The 3.5-mile route will take walkers around
scenic Indian Lake, across the street from the School, and
back to Bancroft for refreshments, games and entertainment.
To
assist walkers in registering and signing-up sponsors, the
Chapter has arranged with Firstgiving to provide individualized
online pledging pages for each interested participant. In
addition to registering online through Firstgiving, walkers
and other interested supporters can set up their own personalized
fundraising page by selecting the “Register Online”
button to the left. Walkers can e-mail the link to their
personalized page to potential sponsors they know throughout
the world.
Walkers can also register by mail or in
person on Walk Day by printing out a Registration Form and
Pledge Sheet from this web page by selecting the appropriate
options to the left. It is requested that mailed registration
forms be returned to the Scleroderma Foundation, New England
Chapter, Office (462 Boston Street, Suite 1-1, Topsfield,
MA 01983) before April 27 to ease the sign-in process on Walk
Day. Registration forms and pledge sheets will also be accepted
on Walk Day, May 6.
Last year’s Worcester Walk-A-Thon
To Cure Scleroderma raised more than $59,000, which helped
make it possible for the Chapter to fund $150,000 in scleroderma
research during 2006.
